The Village of Nelsonville is a small village in the Town of Philipstown, Putnam County, directly beside Cold Spring on the east side of the Hudson.
It has fewer than three hundred housing units, so Census estimates for it carry wide margins. Their direction is consistent, though. Most homes are detached, a majority date from before 1940, and roughly three quarters heat with fuel oil.
